In this workshop Erin will discuss the healing attributes of various spices, the flavoring they add to food, and how to incorporate more spices into your cooking. She will discuss commonly used spices as well as less familiar ones. We will sample at least one dish made with spices that support and strengthen the body's health in addition to making food more flavorful.

Beating the Sugar Blues: Are You a Sugar Addict?
If you crave sweets and wish you could say "no" to sugar more often, this evening workshop is for you. Erin will talk about why the body craves sugar and the many health benefits of eliminating or dramatically reducing one's intake of sugary foods. She will also introduce you to sugar substitutes that will satisfy your sweet tooth while you work on breaking the sugar habit. The class will sample a dish that is made with natural sweeteners, and we'll share the recipe so you can duplicate the dish at home.
The Living Well Series of workshops are free and open to all. Preregistration is helpful and appreciated. To register for one, two or all three workshops, please email marketing@wildoats.coop or call (413) 458-8060. Please specify which workshop(s) you are signing up for.
